• Remotely lock or wipe data out.
• A locked handset can be unlocked only by a specific PIN that the owner will be allowed to set. The person who has found the lost phone will not be able to use the device, except to contact an alternate number that the owner specifies.
• Syncing of contacts and other data.
• Sending messages from a laptop or PC using the account, in case the phone is not available to access.

On the inside this mobile handset employs a 1GHz processor. There’s 1.5GB of internal storage space. Plus, microSD cards allow extending memory too. The RAM is 768MB capacious. An 8MP camera with dual LED flash, that supports HD (720p) recording, geo-tagging, auto-focus and face detection is present. Bluetooth 2.1, 3G, WiFi and GPS are supported. A bunch of sensors – G-sensor, Digital compass, proximity sensor and ambient light sensor are all packed inside. A 3.5mm headphone jack and a microUSB port are present on board. WiFi as well as USB tethering are offered. A talktime of 6-9 hours can be expected, depending on 3G or 2G networks.

The HTC Desire HD is expected to release in October. Pricing is yet to be revealed.
